Southport Sailing Club

Based on the shores of the fantastic Marine Lake in Southport, we have a proud history dating back to the late 1950’s of providing outstanding facilities and sailing support for sailors of all abilities and experience.

As a friendly, community based club we welcome sailors from a wide range of backgrounds and skill levels, supporting everyone with top quality training, varied and busy sailing calendars and a great social environment

Race Calendar

We enjoy a varied and busy sailing calendar all through the year, from friendly afternoon social sails to fast paced open events, to series handicap racing. We have plenty for everyone, no matter what level and experience.

Junior 12hr Race

Held every June, this unique event brings together teams of junior sailors from across the UK to race for a continuous 12 hour period.

In 2024 the race will be held on Saturday 29th June, starting at 8am, and promises to be the best ever

Training and Support

As a RYA accredited training centre we offer a wide range of training for juniors and adults of all abilities and experience. No boat? – no worries, we offer all new members access to our training fleet of Fusion dinghies to hone your skills and develop sailing experience
