Southport Sailing Club
Southport Sailing Club is a well established Community Amateur Sports Club catering for Sailing, Power Boating, Waterskiing and Windsurfing; with good regional access and safe sailing waters and is an RYA recognised
Training Centre. The club was founded in 1959.
A number of club members hold RYA Dinghy Instructors Certificates and First
Aid Certificates, and the club operates a regular training programme for both
members and non-members.
The club hosts racing on up to three days each week, the Summer Series
operating on Wednesday and Friday evenings and Sundays. The Twilight Series on a
Wednesday and Friday in Autumn. During the winter it runs a Sunday 'Frostbite'
Series which extends from November to March and is an open event.
